A man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to set fire to singer Chris Brown’s home in Tarzana, Los Angeles, on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2026.

According to reports from NBC 4 Los Angeles and TMZ, the suspect trespassed onto the property by climbing over a fence before attempting to ignite a fire on the premises. Law enforcement officials responded to the scene and took the individual into custody shortly after the incident was reported.

Chris Brown was not at the residence at the time of the alleged break-in and attempted arson. The property is located in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles and has previously been the site of heightened security concerns.

Earlier this month, another security-related incident was reported outside the same home when a shooting occurred involving a security guard and a woman’s vehicle, further raising concerns about safety around the property.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect or confirmed potential charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Chris Brown has not publicly commented on the incident. The singer is currently preparing for an upcoming co-headlining tour with Usher, scheduled to begin in late June 2026 and continue through December.

The case adds to a growing list of celebrity-related security incidents in Los Angeles, where high-profile homes often face increased risk of trespassing and targeted attacks.

Officials are continuing to investigate the motive behind the attempted arson, and further updates are expected as the case develops.
