Punjab Forests & Wildlife Dept gets IUCN membership

LAHORE:

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has granted membership to the Punjab Forests and Wildlife Department.

According to the department, the membership was awarded in recognition of its efforts for environmental conservation and restoration of natural resources.

Officials said the membership would allow the department to collaborate with governments, environmental organisations and experts from around the world on policy-making, research and conservation initiatives related to forests, biodiversity and wildlife protection.
