Two killed in armed clash over pigeon dispute
In separate incident, man killed in firing on funeral procession

At least three people were killed and several others injured on Friday in two separate violent incidents, including a deadly clash reportedly triggered by a dispute over pigeons in Tando Allahyar district.
In the first incident, two men were killed and five others injured in an armed clash between residents of Berro Lashari and Mehru Lashari villages. According to officials at B-Section police station, the confrontation erupted when pigeons from one side allegedly flew and perched on the roof of the rival group, sparking a heated dispute that escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
As a result of the firing, seven people sustained bullet wounds. Two of the injured, identified as Ali Lashari and Rafiq Lashari, later succumbed to their injuries at a hospital. The remaining injured were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad for treatment. Police said heavy exchange of fire continued between the two groups until a contingent was deployed to restore order. By evening, the FIR had not yet been registered.
In a separate incident in Qambar Shahdadkot district, a funeral procession came under armed attack within the jurisdiction of Sanjar Bhutto police station, leaving one man dead and three others injured.
Police said members of the Gargej tribe were carrying the body of a woman, Taimuran Ali Akbar, for burial when they were ambushed by armed men allegedly belonging to the Jatoi tribe. The woman had died in hospital four days after sustaining gunshot wounds in an earlier incident involving the same group.
The attackers fled the scene after the assault. The deceased in the funeral attack was identified as Bhoongar Gargej, while Rasool Bux Gargej and two others sustained injuries. Police said investigations were underway in both cases, though FIRs had not been registered till the filing of this report.
