Bus plunges into ravine, eight killed

At least eight people, including a woman and a minor child, were killed and 30 others injured when a passenger bus veered off the road and fell into a ravine in Jhal Magsi district, police said.

The accident occurred on the M8 highway between Saundi and Barijah, where the Khuzdar-bound bus from Jhal Magsi lost control due to overspeeding and overturned into a dry riverbed.

Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to hospitals in Gandawah and Barijah Teaching Hospital. Seven of the injured were later transferred to Larkana for advanced medical treatment.

In a separate incident, armed gunmen opened fire in Bakhtiarabad, killing Allah Dina. Another shooting incident near Pat Feeder in Dera Murad Jamali left Muhammad Siddiq wounded.
