RAWALPINDI:

Citing financial constraints, education boards across the province have increased fees for Class 9 and 10 registrations, along with charges for subject changes, data correction, and migration for the 2026–28 academic session, creating difficulties for low-income families.

All nine education boards in the province have formally started the registration process for the new academic session of Classes 9 and 10. Registration with the normal fee will continue until June 8.

The total registration cost has been set at Rs2,350, which includes a registration fee of Rs1,150, a processing fee of Rs870, and a sports fee of Rs300.

From June 9 to June 23, a late fee of Rs600 will be charged.

Correction of personal data will be allowed until October 31, with a fee of Rs750. After the deadline, the fee will increase to Rs1,250. Subject changes can also be made until October 31 at a cost of Rs2,400, rising to Rs2,900 after the due date.

The migration fee has been fixed at Rs4,800.

For registration, a B-Form and the father's national identity card have been made mandatory. Teachers and parents have expressed concern over the increase in fees.
