Pete Davidson has debuted a new tattoo dedicated to his daughter, despite previously undergoing an extensive process to remove much of his body art.

The actor and former Saturday Night Live cast member was photographed with the fresh ink at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas.

Images from the event show the name “Scottie” tattooed near Davidson’s ear. The tattoo honours his daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, whom he welcomed with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt on December 12.

The appearance of the new tattoo comes after Davidson spent several years removing a large number of his existing tattoos.

He first announced plans in 2021 to gradually eliminate his ink, estimating at the time that the process would be complete by the age of 30. Reports indicate he has spent approximately $200,000 on the removal procedures so far.

Davidson has previously described the process as difficult and physically demanding. Speaking in 2025, he said, “It's like putting your arm on a grill and burning off a layer, and then you gotta do maintenance and let it heal properly.” He added, “And it's pretty tough. It sucks, I'm not gonna lie.”

The removal process requires multiple sessions, each followed by several weeks of recovery time. Davidson had indicated he intended to keep only a small number of tattoos, including specific personal designs.

The decision to remove his tattoos was also linked to his personal goals, including maintaining sobriety. However, the new tattoo reflects a significant moment in his life as a new parent.

Davidson has spoken about his experience of fatherhood, saying: “Dad life is f---ing awesome. It is exhausting and rewarding and cute. And I'm very lucky because Elsie is a fantastic mom, and I can't stress enough how lucky I am.”
