Cop martyred

A police constable was martyred on Tuesday after unidentified gunmen opened fire on him in Bannu.

The deceased was identified as Atta-ur-Rehman, a resident of Dheri Saidan Mamash Khel. According to police, he had completed his duty and was on his way to his native village to attend his cousin's wedding when he was attacked.

Officials said the constable had no known personal enmity or disputes, making the motive behind the killing unclear.
