Court extends TikToker's bail till May 5
A special court in Islamabad on Monday extended the interim bail of TikToker Dr Fazila Abbasi till May 5 in two cases registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The court also barred authorities from arresting her during this period.
The hearing was conducted by Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar. The cases involve allegations of money laundering and operating an illegal clinic against Dr Fazila Abbasi.
During the proceedings, arguments on the bail petitions could not take place. The court directed both sides to present arguments on the main and related petitions at the next hearing.
The judge ordered that Dr Fazila Abbasi should not be arrested until May 5. The interim relief granted earlier was extended to maintain status until the next date.
The court adjourned the hearing and set May 5 for further proceedings. On that date, arguments are expected to be heard on all pending petitions.
According to officials, the FIA has registered two separate cases against Dr Fazila Abbasi. The investigation is ongoing, and the agency is examining the allegations related to financial transactions and clinic operations.
