Ice Cube and Chris Tucker’s sons star in a 'Friday'-inspired Rams draft promo now generating buzz online.

The Los Angeles Rams are tapping into one of the most iconic comedies of the 1990s for their latest NFL Draft campaign.
O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Destin Tucker, the sons of Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, star in a reimagined promo inspired by the cult classic Friday. Titled Thursday, the short film serves as the Rams’ creative lead-up to the upcoming NFL Draft.
Jackson Jr. and Tucker step into roles inspired by their fathers’ legendary characters from the 1995 comedy, which starred Ice Cube as Craig and Chris Tucker as Smokey. The original film became a cultural phenomenon and remains one of the most beloved comedies of its era.

The Rams’ updated version also features Terry Crews, rapper YG, Big Boy, and players Kevin Dotson, Jared Verse, Byron Young, among others. The team released the promo across its digital platforms ahead of draft week.
Adding to the nostalgia, parts of the campaign were filmed at the original Friday house in Los Angeles, giving longtime fans another connection to the classic movie.
The Rams said the project was designed to celebrate Los Angeles culture while building excitement for the draft and the team’s future picks.
The promo has already generated buzz online, with many praising the unexpected crossover between football and one of LA’s most recognizable films.
