Vaccination at transit points reviewed

Punjab Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), Coordinator Adeel Tasawurl inspected inter-provincial polio immunisation transit points in Bhakkar and Attock. He listened to frontline workers about their challenges and issued instructions to address operational gaps.
In Bhakkar, he reviewed activities at the Dajal inter-provincial transit point.
He also met polio workers who were injured in a recent terrorist attack, commending their courage and dedication to the mission of eradicating polio. He paid tribute to the security personnel deployed at the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa border for their role in ensuring the safety of teams and continuity of the vaccination campaign.
Over 15.6 million children were vaccinated in the first three days of the ongoing campaign across Punjab.
In Lahore, 896,000 children have received polio drops, while 677,000 children have been vaccinated in Rawalpindi and 703,000 in Multan.
A catch-up activity has been launched in 35 districts to vaccinate children missed during the initial days.
