'Focker-In-Law' preview draws attention for 'obvious' editing miss with Ariana Grande
Viewers react to noticeable moment in Ariana Grande’s 'Focker-In-Law' trailer ahead of the film’s release

Fans have identified what they describe as an “obvious” editing error in the newly released trailer for Focker-In-Law, which features Ariana Grande joining the Meet the Parents franchise.
The trailer introduces Grande as Olivia, the partner of Henry, played by Skyler Gisondo. The character is the now-grown son of Greg and Pam Focker, portrayed by returning cast members Ben Stiller and Teri Polo. The film also sees the return of Robert De Niro as Jack Byrnes and Blythe Danner as Dina Byrnes.
In one scene, Olivia joins the family on a bike ride and challenges Greg to a race. During the sequence, Greg clips Olivia’s back tyre, causing her to fall. As the character lands, viewers noted that the face shown appears to belong to a stunt double rather than Grande.
Audience reactions appeared in the comments section of the trailer online. One viewer wrote, “The way you can see the stunt double in the [bike] fall scene — I can’t,” while another added, “The obvious stunt double is cracking me up lowkey.”
The Independent reported that Universal Pictures has been contacted for comment regarding the scene.
Despite the observations, the trailer has generated positive responses from viewers anticipating the return of the franchise.
One user wrote, “Looks so much better than I was expecting. They have a great new hook to keep it going and the same energy and chemistry that started it all.”
Focker-In-Law is scheduled for release on November 25, more than 15 years after Little Fockers. The new film is written and directed by John Hamburg, with Jay Roach serving as producer.
