Robert Pattinson is looking back at his time in Twilight with fresh eyes, revealing a funny detail about his performance that he says he “never noticed” until recently.
In a new interview, Pattinson shared that he recently spotted an unusual acting choice he made while playing Edward Cullen, specifically during a cafeteria scene early in the film. “There was one thing I did see the other day, which is quite funny,” he said, explaining how he used his fingers in an odd way while sitting down, something he hadn’t realised before.
Describing the moment, Pattinson recalled that he pressed “his index finger and middle finger on each hand into the table” as he lowered himself into his seat, a move he likely intended to appear elegant or controlled, but now finds unintentionally amusing.
Despite poking fun at the performance, Pattinson also expressed genuine appreciation for the film that launched his global fame. He admitted he “really loved” Twilight and reflected on how seriously the cast approached the story, even with its unconventional premise involving a human-vampire romance and love triangle.
The actor also acknowledged that, in hindsight, he now admires that level of commitment, noting that the cast fully leaned into the material in a way he respects today.
Pattinson’s comments highlight a more nostalgic and self-aware perspective on the franchise that made him a household name, showing that even years later, he’s still discovering new, and humourous, details about his iconic role as Edward Cullen.
