Traffic diversion plan unveiled

A traffic diversion plan has been issued for Saturday and Sunday (April 11 and 12) in view of the arrival of a foreign delegation, with authorities advising citizens to use alternate routes.
All roads leading to and from the Red Zone will remain completely closed on both days. Commuters from GT Road have been directed to use the motorway via Taxila Mor, Chakri and Chak Beli Road.
Those travelling from G-6, F-6 and G-5 to Rawalpindi should use Ninth Avenue, while commuters from Bhara Kahu and Murree have been advised to take Bani Gala and Lehtrar Road.
The Expressway from Zero Point to Koral Chowk will remain closed for traffic in both directions.
Travellers heading from Peshawar to Lahore should use the motorway via Taxila Mor and Tarnol Crossing to Fateh Jang, while those coming from Lahore to Islamabad and Rawalpindi should use Chak Beli Road and Chakri Road to access the motorway.
