Air travel to Gulf resumes after ceasefire

LAHORE:

Air operations from Pakistan to Gulf countries have begun resuming following a ceasefire in the Middle East, airport sources confirmed, with restrictions on Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, and Qatar airspace now lifted.

Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport has already dispatched nine flights to destinations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait, Doha, Jeddah, and Dammam. Islamabad has sent eight flights, Karachi 18, Peshawar six, and Multan four.

Airline officials said both local and international carriers are preparing revised schedules to restore services fully, though complete resumption will take time as some countries maintain partial airspace restrictions.
