Surprise visit exposes absenteeism

RAWALPINDI:

A surprise visit by the Commissioner Rawalpindi, who also serves as Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), revealed widespread absenteeism, with 25 officers found missing from duty.

Following the inspection, an emergency meeting was convened at the DC Complex, where the commissioner strongly reprimanded the absent officers and rejected their explanations.

He directed that biometric attendance be made mandatory for all officers and staff at entry and exit. Officers on field duty will be required to share their location in the official group.
