Non-payment of child maintenance prompts warrants
.

A family court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for a man who failed to pay court-ordered maintenance for his two minor daughters.
Family Judge Muhammad Mudassar ordered the immediate arrest of the accused, Mohammad Safeer, and directed the seizure of his movable and immovable property.
The court further ruled that the property be auctioned to ensure payment of maintenance. Non-bailable arrest warrants were also issued for the guarantor, Mohammad Ikram.
According to the case, the accused had been ordered to pay Rs15,000 per month for each of his daughters, aged 12 and 10, until their marriage. However, he refused to comply and had not paid for several months.
The court observed that providing maintenance to children is both a legal and moral obligation of the father and must be fulfilled.
