Woman shot dead by ex-husband

LAHORE:

A woman was shot dead allegedly by her former husband and his accomplices in the Sundar area after she refused to go with him.

The suspect, Arshad, had divorced his 45-year-old wife Kulsoom around eight months ago. Police said the suspect arrived at Kulsoom's residence along with several accomplices on Saturday and attempted to force her to accompany him.

However, she refused to go with him, following which an argument reportedly broke out. In a fit of rage, Arshad allegedly opened fire at the woman.She died on the spot, while the suspects fled.

Upon receiving information, police reached the site, shifted the body to a morgue for post-mortem examination and launched raids to arrest the accused.
