Lady Gaga has cancelled her scheduled concert in Montreal after a respiratory infection worsened, forcing her to withdraw on medical advice just hours before the performance.

The singer announced the decision on Instagram Stories on Monday, April 6, explaining that her condition had deteriorated despite efforts to recover. The show at the Bell Centre was due to be the final night of her three-date run in the city as part of The Mayhem Ball tour.

“I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,” she wrote. “I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover. But it’s gotten worse. My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”

She added that she was “absolutely heartbroken and so sorry” to disappoint fans who had already gathered for the sold-out event.

The cancellation marks a further health-related disruption during the extensive tour, which began in July 2025 and is scheduled to conclude on April 13, 2026 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Gaga had performed earlier Montreal dates on April 2 and 3 before her symptoms intensified.

Reports indicate that fans were already arriving at the venue when the announcement was made. Promoters are expected to provide details regarding refunds, although no confirmation on rescheduling has been issued.

The tour supports her 2025 album Mayhem and spans 86 shows across multiple continents. Medical experts note that respiratory infections can significantly affect vocal performance, often requiring rest to prevent longer-term damage.
