MasterClass Pakistan brings authentic Thai cuisine to Karachi
Royal Thai Consulate-General partners with school to offer students hands-on taste of Thailand's food traditions

MasterClass Pakistan hosted a Thai culinary workshop in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Karachi on April 1. Celebrating authentic flavors and rich cultural traditions, the workshop engaged students through hands-on learning, live cooking demonstrations, and an exploration of the artistry and balance that define Thai cuisine.
The workshop, led by Chef Phonthawat Sustanguan from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, was also attended by Consul General Surashete Boontinand, along with consuls Dr Chotirat Komaradat and Halim Wainalai.
Videos shared on MasterClass Pakistan’s Instagram page captured highlights of the collaboration, showcasing students learning Thai cooking techniques and participating in the culinary process.
The footage also shows the use of authentic Thai ingredients in the workshop, with students learning traditional recipes with precision, and with the preservation of the essence of Thai flavours.
This initiative served as a platform for cultural exchange between Thailand and Pakistan while fostering appreciation for the Thai cuisine. The workshop also included remarks from distinguished guests, underscoring the importance of such cross-cultural collaborations.
The MasterClass Pakistan Hospitality Business School was founded in 2017 in Karachi and is a premier institution accredited by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality, United Kingdom. The school provides hands-on culinary and hospitality management training. It also offers a globally recognised diploma and certifications to bridge the skill gap in Pakistan’s food by working with other cultures and flavours from around the world.
