Anna Faris has reflected on some of her most recognisable roles as she prepares to return to the screen in Scary Movie 6, revealing the characters she would most like to revisit.
The actor, known for her work in comedy films, confirmed she will reprise her role as Cindy Campbell in the upcoming instalment of the Scary Movie franchise.
Speaking about her career, Faris said she has “been really lucky” to portray a range of memorable characters.
Among her favourites is Shelley from the 2008 film The House Bunny. Faris described the character as “near and dear” to her, highlighting the role’s emotional impact.
Shelley, a former playmate turned sorority house mother, was central to a storyline focused on confidence and personal growth. Faris previously described the role as “a life-changing role,” noting its influence beyond her professional career.
She explained that portraying a character with compassion and openness contributed to her personal outlook, adding that it made social interactions feel easier. The film also featured performances from Emma Stone, Colin Hanks and Kat Dennings.
Faris also cited Samantha James from the 2005 comedy Just Friends as another standout role, though for different reasons.
She described the character as “a delicious little villain, such an indulgent brat,” reflecting on the contrast between Samantha’s personality and Shelley’s.
Looking ahead, Faris indicated interest in revisiting both characters if opportunities arise, stating she would “just love that”.
In addition to her film work, Faris recently participated in a promotional appearance at a Los Angeles Clippers game, where she appeared in costume as a character from the mobile game Candy Crush. She described the experience as an opportunity to bring “joy and playfulness” to audiences.
