Hiring of health inspectors resumes

The District Health Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi maintained an effective healthcare delivery system across the district during the three days of Eidul Fitr, ensuring a 97 per cent staff attendance at all healthcare facilities while continuing strict monitoring of services.
The recruitment process for Community Health Inspectors (CHIs) is set to resume from today (Tuesday) following the Eid holidays.
All healthcare facilities operating under the District Health Authorityincluding Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals, Rural Health Centres, and the Maryam Nawaz Hospital as well as Maryam Nawaz Health Clinicsremained fully functional throughout the festive period.
Monitoring visits were actively conducted under the supervision of Parliamentary Secretary for Health Asma Abbasi and DHA Chief Executive Officer Dr Ehsan Ghani.
Inspection and oversight visits were carried out across key areas, including Rawalpindi, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, and Gujar Khan, to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services and staff presence during the holidays.
Dr Ghani said that, following the Eid break, the recruitment drive for female Community Health Inspectors would recommence from Tuesday.
A total of 1,240 positions are to be filled across the district. So far, 350 appointments have been completed, while the remaining 890 vacancies are expected to be filled in the coming weeks.
