Nicole Kidman has shared details about how she prepares for the Oscars, saying her routine begins with attending church before the ceremony.
The actor discussed her plans while speaking on Saturday evening at the Chanel and Charles Finch pre-Oscars dinner held at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
When asked about her preparations for the awards ceremony, Kidman said her approach differs from many celebrities who focus on exercise, wellness treatments or specific routines on the day of the event.
“This is crazy but I will go to church in the morning,” she said. “We’ll be squeezing it in…It just centres me. It’s what I do on a Sunday.”
Kidman is scheduled to appear at the Academy Awards as a presenter. While she attended the dinner event with her daughters, Sunday and Faith, she said they would not be accompanying her to the ceremony or the after-parties.
“No, it’s a Sunday night,” Kidman said when asked if they would attend. “They’re on spring break, but we’ll all be sort of just tucking ourselves in, go home, have a bath and go to bed.”
She added that she might still attend an event later in the evening.
“I may go out to a party…I should go out,” she said.
The Chanel and Charles Finch pre-Oscars dinner attracted a number of film and entertainment figures ahead of the ceremony.
The Academy Awards ceremony will take place on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the event will be broadcast live on ABC and streamed on Hulu.
