Selena Gomez is giving fans a glimpse into her long‑term family goals, and the pop star’s vision includes four children with her husband, music producer Benny Blanco.

The Only Murders in the Building star, 33, shared her hopes during a recent episode of Blanco’s podcast Friends Keep Secrets, which he co‑hosts with rapper Lil Dicky (Dave Burd) and his wife Kristin Batalucco. When the group began discussing how many kids they ideally would like, Gomez didn’t shy away from giving her answer. “I want four, but that’s out there,” she said with a laugh, calling it her dream number.

Gomez explained that her desire for a large family was partially inspired by a memorable scene from the holiday film The Family Stone. She said watching Diane Keaton’s character surrounded by family around a festive dinner table stayed with her, and she pictured her own future family gathered in that warm, lively way. “One day at my dinner table, when I’m her age, I want to see that dinner table,” she told her podcast co‑hosts.

Despite expressing her heartfelt wish, Gomez was also realistic about the uncertainties of parenthood. She noted that “whatever happens, happens,” and said she’d embrace whatever the future holds — whether that ends up being one child, four or none at all.

Gomez and Blanco, 37, tied the knot in September 2025 in an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California. The couple has previously spoken about their shared excitement for family life; Blanco has openly said in past interviews that becoming a dad is one of his biggest dreams, while Gomez has described her love for children and her eagerness to embrace parenthood.

Their discussion on Friends Keep Secrets also showcased the couple’s easy rapport and shared sense of humor — delighting fans with honest conversation about life beyond the spotlight.
