'Cultural exchanges key to fostering unity'

In a bid to promote cross-cultural dialogue and foster harmony among students from across the country, the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) celebrated Baloch Culture Day and hosted an Iftar dinner in honour of Baloch students studying at the university.

The event was attended by Chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar and UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali as guests of honour.

A large number of Baloch students participated in the celebrations, presenting cultural performances and tableaux that highlighted their rich traditions, values and heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that cultural days help keep communities connected to their traditions while linking the younger generation with their rich heritage.

He said that alongside cultural preservation, efforts are being made to equip students with modern scientific knowledge to help build a knowledge-based economy.
