Holi symbolises peace and harmony: CM
Extends greetings to Hindu community, says govt committed to equal rights

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has extended heartfelt greetings to the Hindu community on the occasion of the festival of Holi, saying that the colourful festival heralds the arrival of spring and conveys a message of peace, love and brotherhood.
In a message issued from the Chief Minister House, he said that all minorities in Sindh and across Pakistan enjoy complete freedom to practice their religious rituals and that people of all faiths are entitled to equal rights. He acknowledged the important role played by the Hindu community in the country's development and appreciated their valuable contributions.
The chief minister said that Sindh is the land of Sufis and that the Sindhi people are known for their traditions of tolerance and harmony. He noted that Holi spreads joy and teaches the values of promoting love while eliminating hatred.
He reaffirmed that the Sindh government remains committed to the protection and welfare of minorities. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always advocated safeguarding minority rights and has taken practical steps to ensure their constitutional and legal protection.
In view of the current regional situation, the chief minister appealed to citizens to celebrate Holi with simplicity. He emphasized that peace, security and national harmony remain top priorities.
He concluded by expressing hope that the festival of Holi would bring a message of peace, progress and prosperity to the country.
Baloch community in Sindh - a part of shared history, heritage
CM Shah has extended heartfelt greetings to the Baloch community worldwide, particularly those residing in Sindh, on the occasion of Baloch Cultural Day.
In his special message, the chief minister said that Baloch culture is a precious asset of Pakistan and a symbol of national unity. He noted that the Baloch community living in Sindh forms a proud part of the province's shared history, civilization and identity.
Murad Ali Shah emphasized that nations strengthen their identity by promoting their language, traditions and culture. He described Baloch traditions as a shining example of bravery, honour and loyalty, adding that these values further reinforce the collective identity of society.
He stressed that promoting positive cultural activities is essential for fostering harmony and brotherhood within society. The chief minister also reaffirmed that the Sindh government is committed to preserving and promoting cultural diversity and will continue to take all possible measures in this regard.
Reiterating his commitment, he said that the cultural rights of all communities living in the province will be fully respected and protected.
