Mumford & Sons joined by Hozier for Rubber Band Man on 'SNL'
Mumford & Sons were joined by Hozier for Rubber Band Man during their return to 'Saturday Night Live'

Mumford & Sons returned to Studio 8H on February 28 for their fourth appearance on Saturday Night Live, delivering performances from their new album Prizefighter and welcoming a surprise guest to the stage.
The folk-rock band performed “Rubber Band Man” alongside Hozier, marking a live rendition of their collaboration, which has spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart. The duet prompted a strong reaction from the studio audience, with Hozier’s appearance unannounced ahead of the broadcast.
The episode marked Mumford & Sons’ first appearance on the programme in eight years, following their previous visit in 2018. In addition to “Rubber Band Man”, the group performed further material from Prizefighter, which was released on 20 February. The album also includes tracks such as “The Banjo Song” and “Here”.
The show was hosted by Canadian actor Connor Storrie, 26, making his Saturday Night Live debut. Storrie is known for his role as Shane Hollander on the HBO Max series Heated Rivalry.
Another moment that generated online discussion came in a pre-recorded sketch filmed at the Rink at Rockefeller Centre. Storrie’s Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams made an unannounced cameo, with the pair skating together in a segment reflecting their on-screen rivalry.
Williams later appeared in Studio 8H to introduce Mumford & Sons’ musical performance. The band’s return and the collaboration with Hozier formed one of the evening’s most discussed highlights.
