Murder convict gets life term

RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Additional District and Sessions Judge found the man accused in a Morgah Police Station murder case guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment while also imposing a fine of Rs400,000.

In case of non-payment of the fine, the accused will have to serve another six months in prison. The post-mortem report of the victim was also submitted during the hearing, which facilitated the court's decision.

After the announcement of the sentence, the accused was transferred to Adiala Jail. The accused was convicted for killing a citizen with a knife over a minor argument within the limits of Morgah Police Station in January 2025.
