Four terrorists from the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban group were neutralised in an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Dera Ismail Khan district, the military's media wing said on Monday

According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted the IBO based on the reported presence of the terrorists belonging to the "Indian proxy".

"During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, four khwarij were sent to hell," the ISPR said.

It further stated that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who were actively involved in numerous terror activities in the area.

The ISPR said that sanitisation operation was being conducted to eliminate any other "Indian-sponsored kharji" found in the area, adding that a relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam” by security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue at full pace to wipe out the "menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism" from the country.
