Breaking Bad’s ‘Ozymandias’ loses perfect IMDb score after fan review bomb battle
'Ozymandias' lost its perfect 10/10 after a fan-led review bomb battle

A long-standing television record has fallen after a fan-driven review war erupted between supporters of Breaking Bad and HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
For 13 years, Ozymandias, season five, episode 14 of Breaking Bad, held a rare perfect 10/10 user rating on IMDb. The episode, which first aired in 2013 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest in TV history, dropped to 9.9 after an influx of one-star reviews this week.
The shift came after A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season one, episode five, titled “In the Name of the Mother,” briefly achieved a 10/10 rating following its February 15 release. Some Breaking Bad fans began review bombing the newer episode in an apparent attempt to preserve Ozymandias as the sole holder of a perfect score.
In retaliation, supporters of the fantasy spinoff targeted Ozymandias, flooding it with one-star ratings. Several reviews referenced the feud directly, with users openly admitting they were downvoting in response to the earlier review bombing.
As of February 20, Ozymandias, directed by Rian Johnson and written by Moira Walley-Beckett, sits at 9.9 from more than 300,000 ratings. Meanwhile, In the Name of the Mother holds a 9.7 from roughly 83,000 reviews, making it more vulnerable to swings in audience scoring due to its newer release and smaller rating pool.
Ozymandias chronicles the devastating collapse of Walter White’s empire and family, serving as the emotional climax of Breaking Bad’s final season. In contrast, the highly praised A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode centers on Ser Dunk’s Trial of Seven, marking a major turning point in the spinoff’s narrative.
While neither series’ reputation is likely to suffer long-term, the online feud has ended one of television’s most notable IMDb streaks, highlighting how coordinated fan activity can reshape even the most entrenched audience ratings.
