Zayn Malik is getting candid ahead of his upcoming appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, admitting he’s genuinely surprised — and grateful — that fans continue to show up for his music years into his solo career.

In an exclusive preview of the episode, Malik reflects on releasing multiple albums since leaving One Direction and how fan support still means everything to him. “I’m just buzzing that people still give a sh– about what I’m doing,” he says in the clip, visibly appreciative of the loyalty he’s received over the years.

The singer adds that when he first stepped out on his own, he wasn’t sure what to expect. “I was just buzzing that people cared enough to support the first record,” he explains, referencing the leap from global boy band member to solo artist.

Malik, who is preparing to release his fifth studio album, also teases that the new project will give listeners a deeper understanding of who he is. He shares that he hopes fans will get “a bit more insight on maybe my culture and heritage” through the music, signaling a more personal and introspective direction.

The preview marks one of Malik’s more open interviews in recent years, with the full Call Her Daddy episode expected to dive further into his career evolution, creative process and life in the spotlight.
