Travis Kelce shines at Super Bowl 2026 while Taylor Swift stays away

Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, made an appearance at Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday, even though his team was not playing.

His fiancée, pop superstar Taylor Swift, did not attend.

Kelce was present for the presentation of the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which this year went to Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner. Kelce himself was a nominee for the award in 2020, recognizing players for excellence both on and off the field.

Swift had a busy week, releasing the music video for her song Opalite. The video, set in the 1990s, features her as a quiet loner transported by a magical love potion into the home of Domhnall Gleeson’s character. It also includes cameos from Cillian Murphy, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee, and host Graham Norton.

The couple began dating in 2023 and have previously attended the Super Bowl together. They announced their engagement last October with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

Swift has not commented publicly on her absence from this year’s Super Bowl.
