Doja Cat isn’t holding back when it comes to advice for fellow celebrities. In a candid statement, the pop star urged stars to maintain mystery and keep their personal lives off social media and out of the public eye.

“If you’re a celebrity, shut the f--- up. Nobody wants to hear your f-----g shit. Be mysterious. Stop letting people in on your life. Have more mystique. The more they see of you, the less they’ll want," she said, emphasizing the power of keeping some things private.

The outspoken comments come as Doja Cat continues to embrace a bold and unapologetic public persona. While many celebrities share intimate details with fans on social media, Doja’s approach suggests that a bit of mystery can enhance intrigue and respect in the public eye.

A few users on X pointed out that these comments come as tone dead during such a time where ICE is active and wars are happening prompting celebrities to speak out. 

"Timing is off 😬 telling people to shut up when a lot of celebs are speaking on real issues just feels tone deaf," one wrote while another asked Doja Cat to "shut up" as well: "And here she is being seen and not shutting the f--- up. Lead by example sis."

Some even came out in support of the artist and worried that her comments are going to be taken out of context. "Oh lord they’re gonna take this out of context she obviously means celebs who coke rant on twitter and beef with stan accounts," a user wrote.
