Chappell Roan has been announced as the Season 13 Icon for Fortnite Festival, with Epic Games confirming the Grammy-winning pop star will headline the in-game event when it launches on 5 February.

The singer, who has previously described herself as a Fortnite fan, will take centre stage in the latest season of the music-focused experience. Roan has openly expressed her enthusiasm for the game in the past, once saying, “Please give me a skin, please,” a request that now appears to have been answered.

Season 13 will allow players to step into Roan’s distinctive visual world, drawing on the theatrical aesthetic she has become known for. Inspired by her 2024 MTV Video Music Awards appearance, the season will feature Roan-themed skins including the Roan of Arc and Chappell Roan outfits.Photo: Fortnite

Players can also unlock accessories such as the Pink Pony Star Back Bling, Midwest Princess Keytar, Subway Serenader Mic and Drumset Supernova through the Heartcore Music Pass or a Crew subscription. The Fortnite shop will also introduce the “Pinky Pony Club” and “Femininomenon” emotes.

The Fortnite Festival Main Stage will reflect elements of Roan’s medieval castle-inspired “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” tour design. Her music will feature prominently, with jam tracks including “Pink Pony Club” joining existing tracks such as “Good Luck, Babe!,” “Hot to Go!” and “The Giver”.

Chappell Roan follows a long line of high-profile Fortnite Festival icons. Season 12 featured K-pop star Lisa, while earlier seasons have spotlighted artists including Gorillaz, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Hatsune Miku, Snoop Dogg, Karol G, Metallica, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga and The Weeknd.
