Tourism, sports festival ends on high note

The Pakistan Tourism, Sports & Family Festival 2026, organised by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) in collaboration with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), provincial tourism departments, and public and private sector partners, concluded on a high and celebratory note at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Sunday.
The second day of the festival featured vibrant sporting activities and strong public participation. A fun run marathon and a four-kilometre cycling race proved to be the highlights, drawing large numbers of enthusiastic participants from all walks of life.
Both events were keenly enjoyed, with cash prizes of Rs10,000 awarded to the winners, promoting healthy lifestyles and community engagement through sport.
Throughout the day, visitors were treated to a wide array of attractions, including tourism stalls, live cooking demonstrations, family and children's activities, food stalls, cultural exhibitions, provincial tourism pavilions and live cultural performances.
Other major draws included a painting competition, an army band display, wall rock climbing, an adventure base camp, street curling, paragliding, hot air ballooning and a vintage car show, all of which attracted sizeable crowds.
In the evening, audiences enjoyed lively cultural and musical performances representing various regions of Pakistan. The festival culminated in a grand musical concert, followed by a spectacular fireworks display that illuminated the sky and brought the event to a memorable close. A large audience gathered to witness the finale, reflecting the festival's broad public appeal.
