Zayn Malik’s ‘cheap shot’ at Harry Styles was about ticket prices — here’s why

Zayn Malik joked about ticket prices during a Vegas show, in what many saw as a subtle jab at Harry Styles

Zayn Malik is being accused of taking a “cheap shot” at former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles after appearing to mock Styles’ high concert ticket prices during a recent Las Vegas show.

A music industry insider told Page Six that Malik’s comment stemmed from jealousy, claiming demand for his own residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM was weak. “He is jealous,” the source said, alleging Malik initially tried to charge higher ticket prices but was forced to drop them, with seats reportedly available for as little as $20.

The insider added that it was unfair for Malik to criticize Styles, noting that high ticket prices are common among major touring artists. Representatives for both singers did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Malik, 33, appeared to reference Styles during his performance while thanking fans for attending. “Hopefully, the ticket prices weren’t too high,” he said with a smirk in a now-viral clip.

Styles, 31, is set to launch his “Together, Together” tour in May, with dates running through December 2026. Ticket prices for the tour, particularly in London, have drawn backlash online, with some fans calling them excessive.

The former bandmates rose to fame in One Direction and have long been linked by on-and-off feud rumors, though they reunited publicly at bandmate Liam Payne’s funeral in 2024.
