Emma Stone and filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos have teamed up once again, this time for a high-profile Super Bowl advertisement for website-building platform Squarespace.

The commercial, titled Unavailable, marks the latest collaboration between the Oscar-winning actress and the acclaimed Greek director, as well as Stone’s first-ever appearance in a Super Bowl ad.

Unavailable is set to air during Super Bowl LX, scheduled to run between the first and second quarters of the game. The 30-second spot represents Squarespace’s 12th Super Bowl commercial to date. Ahead of the big game, the company has released a 15-second teaser offering a glimpse into the emotionally charged and visually striking tone of the campaign.

While the ad departs from the feature-film format of Stone and Lanthimos’ previous projects, including The Favourite, Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness, and Bugonia, it retains the bold, provocative style the duo is known for. The commercial was shot in London on black-and-white film, with production design by James Price and music composed by longtime Lanthimos collaborator Jerskin Fendrix.

Details surrounding the narrative remain tightly guarded, including the reason behind Stone’s emotional performance in the teaser. As part of the campaign rollout, Squarespace will release a series of film-style posters that expand the story and build anticipation in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl on February 8.

In addition to Unavailable, Lanthimos has also directed a separate Super Bowl ad for food delivery service Grubhub, marking his first ventures into Super Bowl advertising. For Stone, however, Unavailable represents her sole Super Bowl commercial to date, adding a notable milestone to the duo’s long-running creative partnership.
