Comedian and actor Andy Dick has checked out of a rehabilitation facility and relocated to a sober living home following a reported drug overdose late last year.

The 60-year-old confirmed the update to TMZ on January 26, saying he is now living in a sober facility near Beverly Hills and focusing on maintaining his sobriety.

Dick described the move as the next step in his recovery, telling the outlet that he is “taking things one day at a time” as he adjusts to structured sober living. His transition comes roughly 50 days after an incident in December in which emergency services were called following an apparent overdose on the streets of Los Angeles.

At the time, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed it responded to an overdose involving a man in his late 50s. Narcan was reportedly administered at the scene, and the individual was not transported to the hospital. Dick later confirmed he was the person involved, telling media outlets that he was “alive and relieved” after the incident.

In the days following the overdose, Dick initially expressed resistance to entering inpatient treatment but later confirmed that he had checked into a rehab facility in Palm Springs. His recent move to sober living marks a continuation of that recovery process rather than a complete exit from treatment.

Dick has been candid for years about his struggles with substance abuse, which have frequently intersected with legal troubles and public controversies. He previously entered rehab in 2014 and has spoken openly in interviews about the severity of his addiction and the challenges he faced finding treatment programs willing to accept him.

The comedian has also shared that he achieved periods of sobriety in the past, including a reported 15-month stretch. His latest update suggests he is once again committed to recovery, emphasizing stability and accountability as he moves forward.
