Sindh Government Liaquatabad Nursing College will hold the province's first-ever convocation for nursing graduates on February 7 at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Graduating male and female students will be awarded nursing degrees, while position-holders will receive gold medals.
Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho has been invited as the chief guest for the ceremony. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Principal Irshad Abbasi said the institution began as a nursing school in 1992 at Liaquatabad Hospital and was upgraded to a College of Nursing in 2022. The college is affiliated with Dow Medical University and currently has 12 PhD-qualified faculty members, offering nursing education in two shifts.
