President Asif Ali Zardari landed in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for a four-day official visit from January 26 to 29.
The presidency said in a post on X he was received by UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi in Abu Dhabhi and was accompanied by First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

They held a meeting later with the UAE minister.

During the visit, the president is scheduled to hold meetings with the UAE leadership to review bilateral relations, with a focus on trade and economic cooperation, defence and security, and people-to-people ties.

The visit follows the recent trip of the UAE president to Pakistan and reflects the close ties between the two countries, it added, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.

On December 27, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan paid his first official visit to Pakistan in his capacity as president.
During the visit, he held talks with Pakistani leadership on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key areas, including trade, investment and security
The visit, undertaken at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, came at a time when Pakistan's relations with the Gulf states have witnessed a renewed surge, driven by expanding cooperation in defence, investment, energy and regional diplomacy.
