Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie discuss close on-set bond during 'Wuthering Heights'
Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie spoke about developing close working bond filming Emerald Fennell’s 'Wuthering Heights'

Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie have spoken publicly about the close working relationship they developed while filming Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
In an interview with Fandango, the co-stars reflected on their time portraying Heathcliff and Catherine in the film, which is inspired by Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel.
Both actors described how their shared focus on the project led to what Elordi referred to as a “mutual obsession” during production.
Robbie explained how quickly she became attached to her co-star while working on set. “I’m so codependent with people I work with, and I love everyone so much, and I’m always that person who’s so devastated when a job’s over and I never want it to end,” she said. “I think I developed that quite quickly with Jacob, too.”
She recalled noticing Elordi’s presence from the early days of filming. “I remember the first couple of days on set, he would just be always in the vicinity where I was. But like in a corner, watching Cathy,” Robbie said. By the third day, she added, “I found myself starting to look around to see where he was.”
Robbie also described feeling unsettled when Elordi was not nearby during filming. “And I felt quite lost, like a kid without their blanket or something,” she said, adding that she was unsure whether this feeling was part of getting into character or her natural approach as an actor.
Elordi agreed with her assessment of their dynamic, saying: “We have a mutual obsession.” He also praised Robbie’s work on set, stating, “If you have the opportunity to share a film set with Margot Robbie, you’re going to make sure you’re within 5 to 10 meters at all times, watching how she drinks tea, how she eats her food. … She’s just like an elite actor.”
The cast also includes Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell. Wuthering Heights is scheduled to premiere on February 13, 2026.
