Coal mine explosion leaves six injured

An explosion inside a coal mine in Nowshera district on Wednesday left six workers seriously injured.
According to officials, the explosion occurred during coal mining operations in the Shah Kot area of Jalozai after gas accumulated inside the tunnel. The gas buildup, they said, triggered the explosion. The blast was so powerful that it caused panic across the surrounding area.
After the blast, Rescue 1122 medical teams rushed to the spot, provided first aid to the injured, and later shifted them to Pabbi's Mian Rashid Hussain Shaheed Memorial Hospital. Those injured include two brothers, Hakim and Ayaz, sons of Wakeel, along with Ghani Rehman, son of Ameer Wahid; Abdul Baais, son of Abdul Majeed; and Sardar Majeed Bacha, son of Abdul Ahad, all residents of Shangla.
