Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sells his private jet months after conviction
Sean Combs quietly sold his private jet months after conviction as fans question timing and motive

Sean‘Diddy’ Combs has sold his custom black private jet just months after his federal conviction, a move that is now drawing renewed scrutiny as public attention remains firmly fixed on his legal downfall. According to reports confirmed by People, the music mogul sold the Gulfstream G550 in October 2025, roughly six months after being convicted on two prostitution related charges in July.
The aircraft, which had become a familiar symbol of Combs’ wealth and lifestyle, was frequently photographed in the months leading up to his arrest. Flight records previously showed the jet travelling between California and the Caribbean during a period when federal investigations were closing in. At the time, the plane itself became part of the wider public narrative surrounding Combs’ movements and state of mind.
People confirmed the sale after speaking with Silver Air Private Jets, the company that had managed charters for the aircraft. A representative stated that their professional relationship with the jet ended following a change in ownership in October. Federal Aviation Administration records also show that the aircraft’s registration changed, further confirming that it is no longer tied to Combs or his LoveAir LLC entity. While the final sale price has not been disclosed, similar models are typically valued between $15 million and $30 million.
The timing of the sale has fuelled conversation online, with many questioning whether the move was financially motivated, symbolic, or legally strategic. On social media, users have pointed out that Combs once shared videos of himself boarding the jet, calling it home and presenting it as part of his personal brand. Those posts have since taken on a different tone in light of his conviction and sentencing.
Combs is currently serving a 50 month prison sentence and is expected to spend about three years behind bars after credit for time served. He was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and will remain under supervised release following his imprisonment. During sentencing, he addressed the court with an apology to former partners and family members, describing his behaviour as shameful and acknowledging the damage caused.
Online reaction to the jet sale has been mixed but intense. Some view it as an inevitable step as his financial and personal circumstances change, while others see it as another reminder of how swiftly his public image has collapsed. The aircraft, once a sign of unchecked power and luxury, has now become another asset shed in the aftermath of one of the most dramatic falls from grace in recent celebrity history.
