Julia Roberts praises Ocean’s 14 script as Warner Bros greenlights sequel

Julia Roberts confirms Ocean’s 14 script is strong as George Clooney and co-stars prepare for 2026 filming

Warner Bros. has officially approved the production of Ocean’s 14, with filming expected to begin in mid-2026.

George Clooney confirmed that the studio has greenlit the budget and the team is now working on scheduling the shoot. The announcement marks the long-awaited return of the iconic heist franchise, which began with Ocean’s Eleven in 2001.

Leading cast members George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle are set to reprise their roles as Danny Ocean, Tess, Rusty Ryan, Linus Caldwell, and Basher Tarr, respectively. While other returning actors like Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, and Elliott Gould have not confirmed participation, Andy Garcia has previously indicated he will return as antagonist Terry Benedict.

Julia Roberts recently spoke about the project during the Golden Globes pre-show, confirming she has read the Ocean’s 14 script and praised it. “Yes, I have seen a script. And I was kind of surprised, because I was like, ‘Oh, what is the story going to be?’ And it’s good. I mean, we wouldn’t do it if it’s not good,” she said.

The upcoming film aims to revive the high-profile heist series nearly two decades after Ocean’s Thirteen. Fans have speculated about the return of the original cast, and the Golden Globes mini-reunion featuring Clooney and Cheadle hinted at strong camaraderie among the actors.

With Warner Bros backing and most of the key cast onboard, Ocean’s 14 promises to deliver the stylish capers and star-studded charm that made the franchise a box office success.
