Newborn found abandoned on trash pile

LAHORE:

A newborn baby was found abandoned in a garbage bin in Allama Iqbal Town area. According to Rescue 1122, the Command and Control Centre received a call reporting the recovery of a newborn from Raza Block, Allama Iqbal Town.

Emergency responders reached the scene and safely retrieved the infant from a waste container.

The newborn was shifted to Lahore Jinnah Hospital for medical examination and care. Rescue officials did not immediately share details about the baby's condition.

Police were informed of the incident and are expected to initiate legal proceedings to trace those responsible for abandoning the child.
