BTS surprised fans around the world by appearing together on Weverse just 12 minutes before the New Year in South Korea, spending the final moments of 2025 with ARMY and sharing messages of gratitude and anticipation.

The live broadcast marked the first New Year greeting featuring all seven members since their temporary hiatus for mandatory military service.

The members, including Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, wished fans a Happy New Year, prompting an outpouring of emotional reactions online.

The appearance followed a major announcement from the group’s agency, BigHit Music, confirming that BTS will return with a new album on March 20, 2026. The release will be followed by a world tour, marking the group’s first full-scale comeback since their 2022 anthology album Proof and their first album after a three-year hiatus.

All seven members completed their military service by June 2025. During the hiatus, they released solo projects while fans awaited news of a reunion. Speculation intensified after ARMY Gold members received a postcard on December 30 featuring a new logo and the date March 20, 2026.
