RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab Sahulat Bazaar Authority has approved the establishment of new special Sahulat Bazaars at divisional and district locations across all 43 districts of the province, including six bazaars in Rawalpindi Division.

The project will cost Rs579.73 million.

Construction and decoration work will begin in January, the first month of the New Year, and all bazaars will be completed within three months, with final completion scheduled by March 31. The authority has invited tenders from contractors by December 31, while contracts will be awarded in the first week of January.

Each Sahulat Bazaar will have separate sections for groceries, vegetables, fruits, meat, and chicken.

Essential commodities and food items will be provided at subsidized rates, 10 to 20 percent lower than open market prices.
