Sadie Sink, known for her breakout role as Max in Stranger Things, is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, and she admits keeping details about her role has been a challenge.

The actress explained that the secrecy surrounding the film’s plot and her character is unlike anything she’s experienced before, even more intense than the strict confidentiality required on Stranger Things.

“I can’t wait to talk about it more. There’s so much I want to share,” Sink said, reflecting on how exciting and personal the project is for her.

The 23-year-old actress shared that landing a role in the Spider‑Man franchise felt surreal. “Spider‑Man has always been my favorite. I love Spider‑Man. I love Tom’s Spider‑Man, especially,” she said, describing the experience of moving from fan to cast member.

Sink also noted that working with director Destin Daniel Cretton, whom she collaborated with early in her career, made the project feel like a full-circle moment.

While she remains tight-lipped about her character, Sink teased that audiences will be in for surprises. She emphasized that keeping plot points secret has been a bigger challenge than any previous project, demonstrating how seriously she takes the responsibility of joining the MCU.

Spider‑Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, with Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jon Bernthal (as The Punisher) also starring.

As fans eagerly await details, Sink’s reflections reveal the excitement and anticipation she feels about this new chapter in her career, offering a rare glimpse into her experience transitioning from television to one of the biggest franchises in cinema.
