Rescue 1122 handles over 54k emergencies

Rescue 1122 Vehari responded to more than 54,000 emergency calls during 2025, providing timely and professional assistance across the district, according to the department's annual performance report released on Friday.

The report stated that the Rescue 1122 control room received a total of 54,306 emergency calls during the year, all of which were handled with prompt response and professional care.

During 2025, as many as 11,605 traffic accidents were reported across Vehari district.

Rescue teams provided first aid to 7,019 victims at the scene, while 5,841 critically injured persons were shifted to nearby public and private hospitals for further treatment.
