SZA has reacted publicly to the outcomes of two recent boxing matches involving Andrew Tate and Jake Paul, sharing her response on social media as the holiday season approached.

The singer commented after both fighters were defeated in separate, widely discussed bouts held within the same week.

On Monday, December 22, SZA joined the comments section of an Instagram post shared by Irish strongman Pa O'Dwyer. The post referenced Andrew Tate’s loss to Chase DeMoor, alongside Jake Paul’s defeat by Anthony Joshua. SZA wrote, "Wow Tate and Jake Paul bodied in one week? Merry Christmas everyone."

Tate’s bout against DeMoor took place at the Misfits Mania event on December 19 and ended in a majority decision.

Following the fight, Tate addressed the loss during a livestream, offering his assessment of what went wrong. "I've not yet had time to process why he beat me. I got tired after the second round, and I don't know why," he said. "[In] the first and second round, he couldn’t touch me. If I didn’t get tired, I would’ve won. I'm a better boxer. But I did get tired. Maybe it's ring rust, maybe I'm too old. Maybe he's too heavy and he kept leaning on me. I don't know why. But he did beat me."

Jake Paul also reflected on his own defeat during an appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, where he discussed the physical and mental demands of the fight. "I mean, it’s not that hard to get your ass beat," Paul said. "Actually, I won two rounds, then he won two, then I got dropped. But yeah, I was doing good."

Paul continued by pointing to conditioning and experience as key factors. "I just think my cardio, the mental pressure of the big guy, and sparring the big people, is different than the 10-ounce gloves. So I was feeling his power more. But it was great experience. I learned a lot in there."

The outcomes of both fights generated extensive discussion online, with SZA’s comment adding to the broader reaction across social media.
