Natasha Lyonne says she was detained by ICE after flight, citing medication use during travel

Natasha Lyonne has further spoken about an incident in which she was reportedly removed from a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York, following earlier media reports describing her being escorted off the aircraft before departure.
According to Page Six, Lyonne had attended the Euphoria Season 3 premiere shortly before boarding the flight. The report claimed that flight attendants asked her to comply with safety instructions, including closing her laptop and fastening her seatbelt.
An alleged eyewitness said staff “repeatedly” requested compliance and that she appeared startled during the interaction, reportedly saying, “Ah! You scared me!”
The report also stated that the aircraft began taxiing before returning to the gate after Lyonne’s laptop was removed. She was then asked whether she required medical assistance and was ultimately instructed to leave the plane.
Following the incident, Lyonne posted on X, referencing a missed scheduled appearance. She later expanded on the situation in additional posts, stating that she had taken Lunesta, a prescribed sleep aid, “to ensure some shut eye” during the flight.
She wrote, “Plan was to be bushy tailed & beauty rested,” adding that she intended to attend a scheduled appearance with Drew Barrymore upon arrival in New York. Lyonne also stated, “ICE had other plans & I was detained instead.”
In the same post, she added, “Sign of the times, I guess,” and thanked staff and passengers affected by the disruption. She also said, “Never had a problem with @Delta or @TSA before,” and expressed support for TSA workers.
Lyonne also mentioned she had previously been seeking recovery support, having discussed sobriety challenges earlier in the year.
